feeling about this one ! madroño

although the wind was a bit crossed
from the east
(its going to work best with a southerly
wind or pure thermal flying )
as you can see its definatly flyable
we have a soarable ridge no cables potentially
good take off, track almost to the top, and
large landing area....what else could we wish for ?

well we need permission ! for one, from the owner
who lives in Jaen, to clear the take off area
and more permission from the owner of the landing field
fingers crossed we can sort this out!


nice landing area!

we are always looking for new sites but this one
could be very special, suitable for all levels of pilots
including tandem flights
and not a electric cable in sight. Everytime I have been
up there I have seen vultures or imperial eagles, juan spotted
a eagle owl so we are in good company!

Hugh instability, cumulus congestus, not to mention
cumulonimbus, mammus , rain and thunder, all conspired
against us today so we had to cancel the 3 tandem flights
we had booked today , we dont take risks with your safety
we will only fly when we are 100% sure of the conditions .

Too much instability forcast for later on today so
no tandem work , getting in to the air for 7.45 am for a
nice smooth flight in to the valley of los velez, this high
pressure has given us a lot of haze, not brilliant for aerial shots
but got a few nice images on the way .
